Description:OR Technologist Shifts could be any day of the week, minimum 36 hours per week. Traveler must be flexible to work 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts as needed. Must be flexible to pick up night shifts, 2 week day nights on-call (11p-7a), and every other weekend Saturday or Sunday 24 hour on call. Types of cases: -Predominately Orthopedic (knees, shoulders & hands) -General and ENT laproscopic -Spinal fusions -Knee & Hip total joint replacements -Some OB OR has 4 rooms with a 24/7 schedule, 10 scheduled cases per room per day with 6-10 add on emergent cases per room per day. Completion of Operating Room Technician course and current BLS are required. Certification (CST) is preferred, but not required. Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience working as an OR Technician in a hospital setting is required. Strong orthopedic experience required. Must have the worked in an inpatient OR in the last year, experience with orthopedic procedures, worked laparoscopic procedures for general and ENT cases, total joints, hip and knee, and spinal fusions. HS Diploma or equiv is required. Duties include, but are not exclusive of stocking, replenishing and preparation of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment. Functions as a member of the surgical team by assisting and anticipating needs of the surgeon. Maintains current education in aseptic technique, routine operating room procedures, and all other duties as assigned.
