Advanced neonatal critical care skills
Experience:
Five years ACUTE CRITICAL CARE Required
One year LVL III NICU Required
One year NICU TRANS Preferred
Licensure:
FLORIDA CRT or FLORIDA RRT Required
Description:
The NICU Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the
department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
as an integral member of the healthcare team.
The NICU Respiratory Therapist delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in
accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other healthcare providers,
or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring
individual judgment.
Functions as the "Resident Expert" proficient in all clinical
respiratory procedures. Serves as a resource and frequently provides oversight of
others.
Works 100% of the time in the Level III NICU.
