This Facility provides not only competitive salaries but also a selection of benefits: >Competitive wages >Medical, dental, life, vision insurance >Vacation and sick leave >Enhanced 401(k) retirement plan NEW! >Continuing education assistance >Relocation Assistance >Paid travel >Ongoing clinical support >Career advancement JOB DESCRIPTION: Effectively manage one’s own practice of pharmacy Utilize and maintain competency in all technologies utilized by the Department of Pharmacy Maintain and promote a professional work environment and contribute positively to the teamwork of the department Facilitate age specific Pharmaceutical Care to patients, as assigned Facilitate clinical pharmacy initiatives of the institution Prepare and dispense medications in accordance to federal, state and institutional regulations, laws and policies Provide leadership and supervision to pharmacy technical and clerical personnel, as assigned Demonstrate and support continued professional growth of oneself and fellow staff members, in accordance with standards of Department of Pharmacy Provide education and training for Pharmacy staff and students, Nursing staff and students, Medical staff and students, and patients and families Participate in departmental committees, team efforts, service excellence activities, staff meetings, and peer evaluations Maintain compliance with statutes, laws, regulations, standards, and policies governing the practice of Pharmacy Promote quality service through teamwork, respectful communication, maintenance of a professional environment, partnership with those we serve, and anticipation of patient/customer needs Must maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Employees will work in close proximity with other employees in department Potential exposure to harmful biological agents, chemical agents and cytotoxic substances Work is performed in a secured, limited access environment Must possess good leadership, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills Must be able to effectively budget time, work efficiently and accurately, and follow procedures with minimum supervision Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills Work requires knowledge of general office equipment and procedures, including computer and keyboard skills EDUCATION: Must be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) EXPERIENCE: Hospital experience preferred LICENSURE: License to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Virginia required Medical Connections strives to find you your next Career Advancement Our Premier Clients offer PAID Travel for INTERVIEWS if you are Not Local.
