DIRECTOR OF NURSING
Our client is a state certified Medicare agency delivering skilled professional medical care in the privacy of the patient’s home and are experiencing unprecedented growth with 50 offices located in Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Ohio and Arizona.
As they continue to grow and open offices in new markets, they recognize that their greatest assets are their quality employees.
The Director of Nursing will direct and coordinate the clinical activities of the Agency. The Director of Nursing may be a direct employee of the agency or a related business entity.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Registered Nurse, currently Licensed in the State of Arizona
• One (1) year of supervisory experience as a registered nurse in a licensed home health agency, a facility licensed under Chapter 395 or a facility licensed under Part II and part III of this Chapter
• Effective knowledge of the statute and administrative rules of the Agency for Health Care
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to organize work procedures, assume responsibility and effectively supervise others
• Dependable with good judgment, problem solving and leadership abilities
• Flexible, energetic and self-directed
• Some travel required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise all personnel (professional, personal care aides) who deliver direct patient services
• Establish service policies and procedures in compliance with state health statutes and administrative rules to include CDC guidelines, OSHA guidelines for employee safety, universal precautions, and infection control procedures
• Coordinate patient care services
• Provide case management as described in 59A8.002 (5), F.A.C.
• Establish and implements policies for, and keeps records of criteria for admission to service, case assignments and case management
• Coordinate and integrates functional phases of total Agency activities
• Participates in preparation of the annual budget
• Participate in National State and Local association organizations and meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality of Patient and Agency matters
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator
• Establish and conducts an ongoing quality assurance program that meets the following requirements
• Is available at al times during business hours or designates in writing a qualified alternate registered nurse to serve in her/his absence
• Responsible for development of annual in-service/continuing education schedule for agency staff

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Current or Pending State License in Practicing State
Must Have current Cardiopulmonary (CPR) certification along with BCLS or ACLS
