Duties:
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing processes of assessment, planning, evaluation and implementation;
Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Skills and abilities are as follows:
Knowledge of legal and ethical considerations in nursing practice.
Ability to perform nursing functions in the provision of patient care.
Communicates effectively with staff, patients, and families.
Protects confidentiality in all areas as applicable.
Ability to work cooperatively with staff in all departments.
Ability to lift, move, and reposition patients.
Maintains compliance with standards of nursing practice.
Requirements:
Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas (RN)
CPR required, ACLS certification preferred
