Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures, the Director has total responsibility for the fiscal and operational management of multiple nursing units. Will supervise all professional and non-professional personnel assigned to the nursing unit. Work autonomously, sets priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Interfaces directly with public, physicians, staff patients, administration and ancillary/support department representatives. Written and verbal communication skills adequate for performance of the position. Maintains confidentiality of patient's medical records. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/MSN or appropriate Masters Degree.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years director experience in the area of specialization or area that provides similar type of care. Previous mid-level management experience a plus.
Licenses/Certification: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. Current certification as BLS course C or D provider.
