1. How long does it take to open my own office?
Once the details have been worked out, you will work closely with our professional transition team to set a target date. During the transition period you will finalize your office space and furnishings, prepare signage, stationary, marketing materials, obtain and test your technology. Depending upon the size of your office and number of associates, this period may range from 30-45 days.
2. Are there any start up costs or fees related to the opening of my office?
Absolutely not. Medical Connections, Inc. does not charge the “Office-In-A-Box” member any fees or costs related to the opening of a new office. Our sole motivation is to get your office up and running and producing results as fast and efficiently as possible.
3. Are there any monthly or annual fees related to my office?
Again, no. There are no monthly, annual or reoccurring costs or fees related to the opening of an “Office-In-A-Box” member’s office.
4. What licenses are required to open my office?
The only licenses that may be needed to open your own Medical Connections office are those governed by your local town, city or state.
5. How do I set up my business?
There are several ways to establish your new business. Although our professionals will discuss the numerous options with you, we encourage you to seek the advice of your attorney and CPA to maximize the advantages offered by your state.
6. Will my current employer come after me when I open my own office?
The type of action your current employer may or may not take will depend on many factors. We have established relationships with law firms that specialize and have years of experience assisting in the transition to a new firm. They will provide you with a confidential, complimentary telephone consultation to discuss your particular situation and advise you as to what you might expect. If you have a copy of your current contract, they will review it with you at that time as well.
7. How much risk am I taking by going independent?
There is a misconception in business that “going independent” is risky. Although you will own your own business Medical Connections will be there to support you and supply you with all the advice, business tools and technology to successfully run your very own office as if you were operating right out of our corporate office.
8. How large will I be allowed to grow my office?
There is no limit to the size you can grow your office. Medical Connections treats all offices equally whether it’s a single individual in a home office or 20 individuals operating out of a corporate suite.
9. How do I get paid and how do I pay employees that may work out of my office?
We can offer you compensation as an independent via 1099. We can also set you up to withhold all the required taxes depending upon the State and location of your office. You can pay your employees out of your gross payout or we can add your employees to our payroll and pay them automatically out of your total gross monthly commissions based upon your individual office’s commission structure.
10. What do you mean by annual equity bonus?
Medical Connections, Inc. is a publicly held corporation. Your office will receive an annual bonus based upon your gross annual year-to-date commissions in Medical Connections, Inc. stock. As you expand and grow your healthcare staffing business you will accumulate equity ownership in Medical Connections, Inc. Down the road that equity ownership may compensate you during a merger or buy out. Either way you will be accumulating additional compensation usually reserved for the “corporate suite”.
11. What name will be on my business card, signage and office?
All of your business cards, letterhead, envelopes, electronic communications, etc. will have the Medical Connections, Inc. name, logo, colors and brand attached to them. We have spent a substantial amount of time and money building brand awareness and believe the Medical Connections, Inc. brand will enhance your business and reputation in the healthcare staffing and recruiting industry.
